Mentor

Practicing meditation on a daily basis for about 10 minutes a day has help me increase my positive disposition and it has helped me to deal with the anxiety attacks. Combining the meditation with the exercise routine has made a huge improvement in my life; not just physically but also mental and it has strengthen my Faith. During the mediation for Unit 7, I visualized the face of Jesus and it gave me such a peaceful sensation that it scared me for a moment. I felt that my body was floating in the air.
‘One cannot lead another where one has not gone himself’. In other words, having the map does not mean that you have visited the territory. In order for you to teach someone, you must have experienced your teaching. My Dad use to tell me that I could not preach what I did not practice and I believe this is so real. An example is when I am teaching my kids to have discipline; I must show them that I have the discipline.

  1. That's awesome that you have found some relief from anxiety! It's a huge victory, and I am happy to say that i too have found much relief from it as well. : ) Your experience with the Aesclepius exercise is interesting, and you are absolutely right that we must practice what we preach. We have to remain mindful of our mouths as they start to go because we often make the mistake of attempting to lead a person to the end of a road that we've never been down.

  2. I think it is great that you had the reaction that you experienced. I think that practice what you preach can be used for everything we do throughout our lives.
