Loving Kindness

Listening to the Loving Kindness mp3 relaxed my whole body with the waves in the background then it gave a big sensation of an open heart. Directing your focus to others and not yourself brings a good feeling. I like the fact that I was given a change of observing the good and the bad while still focusing on accepting things as they are. As I was taking the sufferings of my loved ones and the strangers, the picture in my mind was a dark cloud reaching my heart and finally dissolving. While lying on my bed, I listened to the mp3 and found it very easy to get into it. The only part I had a hard time was when thinking of the enemies, it was hard to put my emotions on the side but I know if I keep practicing, it will get easier. I will certainly recommend this mp3 to my family and my closest friends so they can experience what I have experienced.

Mental workout is the training of your mind. Training your mind to have a more positive attitude, to meditate, to be kind and loving can bring you emotional-well being. I started my mental workout by meditating. This is a good discipline to acquire in order to maintain overall wellness.

  1. Hello Zully,
Great blog, which I think you did a good job explaining the loving-kindness exercise. The waves were very relaxing, because something about them soothes the core of your soul and mental thinking. We think a lot alike, because I felt a lot of different emotions too. I agree the breathing techniques along with the mediation really help release bottled up emotions. I’m also at that stage in my life where I try to reach a level of happiness to be able to express my emotions in a different way instead of being angry with my enemies, because I know it takes a lot of practice to be able to openly tell someone they hurt you without you becoming angry or sad. Keep practicing, because practice will get you better every time!
